Fare Increases

Metrobus and Metrorail fares are increasing this coming Sunday, February 28. Their new fare structure is temporary, effective through June 26th. Another fare structure will be proposed for public hearing by the WMATA Board, to be effective June 27th.

Arlington Transit fares are set by the County Board after a public hearing. ART fares are not changing this weekend. However, the County is likely to propose a new ART fare structure to be effective June 27th to match the next Metro fare structure.
